Amerigo Resources Ltd. is a Canada-based company, which is engaged in producing copper. The Company produces copper concentrate and molybdenum concentrate as a by-product at the Minera Valle Central S.A. (MVC) operation in Chile by processing fresh and historic tailings from Codelco’s El Teniente mine. The Company operates through one segment: the production of copper concentrates under a tolling agreement with El Teniente Division (DET), with the production of molybdenum concentrates as a by-product. The MVC operation is located approximately 8 kilometer east of the city of Rancagua and over 90 kilometers south of Chile’s capital city of Santiago. MVC is involved in reprocessing tailings generated from the El Teniente mine. MVC’s processing facilities are in Region VI (Libertador Bernardo O’Higgins Region) of central Chile. The MVC processing facility has a nominal capacity of 185,000 tpd and consists of grinding and flotation plants to recover copper and molybdenum concentrates.
