Bursa de Valori Bucuresti SA engages in the administration and management of the financial markets in Romania. The company operates through Capital Markets, Post-Trading Services, Registry Services, and FCI Services and Other Services segments. It operates a regulated market for trading of financial instruments, such as shares and rights issued by international and Romanian entities; debt instruments, including corporate, municipality, and government bonds issued by Romanian entities and international corporate bonds; UCITs consisting of shares and fund units; structured products; and tradable UCITS, such as ETFs. The company also operates AeRO market for start-ups and SMEs; and Arena trading system for trading, clearing, settlement and registry operations for spot and futures. In addition, it offers post-trading services; registry services, such as storage and updating of the registry of stakeholders for the listed companies; and investor compensation fund and other services. The company was founded in 1839 and is based in Bucharest, Romania.
