Can anyone say how this ETF dealt with negative prices? What happens with any fund that tracks a commodity if the commodity in question goes negative? Is this why the correlation does not seem there after the split?
In reality it never happened, but in computerized ages it did. the correlation doesn't have anything to do with the price. we can always try and find an excuse why a etf that states bullish 2x and the screw you over and say bullish 1x and still screw you over doesn't fallow oil prices is misleading. oh fucken yeah!! I forgot it in Gold and not oil. Lmao
Sure, to be fair I was wondering more about how they should track a WTI -100% and more day (when the prices went negative). Anyways, I am as frustrated as anyone about it even happening but I also think we can all learn something about putting money into leveraged etf's, even more so when the fund, as you say, does not do what it is supposed to do.

I'm totally confused, so if I want to buy an etf that is bullish on oil I should buy gold etf., and if I'm bearish on gold because it's at its peak I should buy oil etf. I don't even know what I'm writing anymore.

that's correct. 7 of their 10 or 11 holdings is in gold. Only 3 in oil. !!!!

with the future price of oil at close to $22.00 this etf should be at close to $100.00 . Lmao at something that doesn't track the oil price, but title states it.
