The fund is managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors. It invests in fixed income markets of developed countries across the globe, excluding the United States. The fund invests, directly, in other ETFs and through derivatives such as foreign currency forward contracts, in securities. It invests in high yield corporate bonds denominated in Euros, British pounds sterling, and Canadian dollars with maturities ranging from 1 to 15 years. Currently, the fund invests a substantial portion of its portfolio in the iShares International High Yield Bond ETF. It uses derivatives to hedge its foreign currency exposure to U.S. dollar. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the Markit iBoxx Global Developed Markets ex-US High Yield (USD Hedged) Index, by using representative sampling methodology. It was formerly known as iShares Trust - iShares Currency Hedged Global ex USD High Yield Bond ETF. iShares Trust - iShares Currency Hedged International High Yield Bond ETF was formed on July 28, 2015 and is domiciled in the United States.
