Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which rose 1.67% or 0.57 points to trade at 34.77 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) added 1.34% or 1.00 points to end at 75.40 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was up 1.29% or 3.1 points to 243.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb), which lost 1.45% or 8.5 points to trade at 578.0 in late trade. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) declined 1.26% or 4.8 points to end at 376.9 and Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) shed 1.06% or 2.4 points to 223.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 71 and 18 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.57% or 0.80 to $50.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.15% or 0.62 to hit $53.31 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.66% or 7.75 to trade at $1177.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.31% to 6.9188, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4386.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 100.30.
