Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Telecoms and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 1.86% or 0.80 points to trade at 43.77 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 1.77% or 2.70 points to end at 155.40 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 1.56% or 0.15 points to 9.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 5.08% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.29 in late trade. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 2.76% or 9.9 points to end at 349.0 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) shed 1.80% or 2.4 points to 131.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 84 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.70% or 0.89 to $53.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.94% or 1.07 to hit $56.17 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.45 to trade at $1201.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.18% to 9.0659, while USD/NOK fell 0.57% to 8.5033.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.68% at 101.01.
