Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.99% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which rose 0.70% or 1.3 points to trade at 186.9 at the close. Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb) added 0.26% or 1.0 points to end at 385.3 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 0.20% or 0.07 points to 35.84 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which lost 4.00% or 12.0 points to trade at 287.8 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 3.06% or 8.50 points to end at 268.90 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) shed 2.97% or 1.07 points to 34.97.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 435 to 277 and 72 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.72% or 0.38 to $52.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.07% or 0.59 to hit $54.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1291.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.31% to 9.6053, while USD/SEK fell 0.25% to 8.9754.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 99.66.
