Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.88% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 3.24% or 85.0 points to trade at 2710.0 at the close. Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) added 2.10% or 260.0 points to end at 12660.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 2.08% or 30.0 points to 1475.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 0.79% or 0.2 points to trade at 25.1 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 0.26% or 160.0 points to end at 62200.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 0.25% or 40.0 points to 15860.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 4 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 1.09% or 1.47 to $133.35 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 2.58% or 51.50 to hit $2048.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.62 to trade at $1230.32 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.20% to 2914.95, while BRL/COP rose 0.34% to 938.31.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 98.79.
