Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Transport and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA), which rose 9.15% or 0.280 points to trade at 3.340 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 6.78% or 0.270 points to end at 4.250 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 4.60% or 0.250 points to 5.690 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS), which lost 3.50% or 0.84 points to trade at 23.14 in late trade. Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) declined 2.76% or 0.39 points to end at 13.75 and SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) shed 2.49% or 0.190 points to 7.440.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 234 to 121 and 54 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.30% or 3.76 to $1245.76 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.55% or 0.26 to hit $47.06 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.42% or 0.21 to trade at $49.49 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.13% to 3.5262, while EUR/TRY rose 1.23% to 4.1066.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.63% at 94.04.
