Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Energy and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 2.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which rose 5.04% or 2.51 points to trade at 52.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 0.40% or 1.2 points to end at 298.5 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was down 0.14% or 0.10 points to 70.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR), which fell 7.65% or 4.55 points to trade at 54.95 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 5.95% or 9.3 points to end at 147.0 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) was down 3.92% or 5.4 points to 132.7.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 133 to 50 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.42% or 1.04 to $41.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.21% or 1.03 to hit $45.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.54% or 5.90 to trade at $1079.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.16% to 9.3539, while USD/NOK rose 0.91% to 8.6860.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 98.91.
