Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Transport, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aselsan (IS:ASELS), which rose 8.67% or 1.30 points to trade at 16.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestel (IS:VESTL) added 3.10% or 0.180 points to end at 5.990 and Celebi (IS:CLEBI) was up 2.88% or 1.10 points to 39.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Konya Cimento (IS:KONYA), which fell 4.12% or 15.50 points to trade at 361.00 at the close. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) declined 4.00% or 0.010 points to end at 0.240 and Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) was down 3.12% or 0.240 points to 7.450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 253 to 145 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aselsan (IS:ASELS) rose to all time highs; rising 8.67% or 1.30 to 16.30.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.34% or 3.70 to $1084.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.32% or 0.13 to hit $40.61 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.97% or 0.88 to trade at $43.59 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.69% to 2.8822, while EUR/TRY rose 0.17% to 3.0875.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 99.35.
