Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Transport, Real Estate Investments and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 2.96%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS), which rose 7.29% or 0.25 points to trade at 3.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) added 6.73% or 0.450 points to end at 7.140 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was up 5.57% or 0.78 points to 14.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER), which fell 6.19% or 2.66 points to trade at 40.30 at the close. Dogus Otomotiv (IS:DOAS) declined 6.15% or 0.68 points to end at 10.38 and Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA) was down 5.66% or 1.76 points to 29.36.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 345 to 34 and 32 ended unchanged.

Gold for April delivery was up 3.08% or 35.60 to $1193.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.30% or 0.71 to hit $30.18 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.79% or 0.61 to trade at $33.45 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.94% to 2.9455, while EUR/TRY rose 1.07% to 3.2910.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.87.
