Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Services, Industrials and Property sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 1.11% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM), which rose 4.90% or 0.250 points to trade at 5.350 at the close. Metro Pacific Investments Corp (PS:MPI) added 0.86% or 0.060 points to end at 7.000 and Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV) was up 0.68% or 0.500 points to 73.600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which lost 5.22% or 4.350 points to trade at 79.000 in late trade. Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) declined 4.53% or 11.200 points to end at 236.000 and PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) shed 3.69% or 69.00 points to 1800.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 88 and 45 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.18% or 2.45 to $1339.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.28% or 0.61 to hit $47.01 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.32% or 0.66 to trade at $49.33 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.54% to 7.0755, while USD/PHP rose 0.81% to 47.260.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 94.97.
