March 9 (Reuters) - Futures were little changed for Canada's main stock index on Friday as investors awaited monthly jobs data.
Canadian employment growth is expected to have gained 20,000 jobs in February after losing 88,000 jobs in the month before. The report is due at 8:30 a.m. ET.
March futures on the S&P TSX index SXFc1 were down 0.01 percent at 7:15 a.m. ET.
Canada's main stock index closed higher on Thursday, with all sectors but one in positive territory, after U.S. President Donald Trump exempted Canada and Mexico from import tariffs on steel and aluminum.
