Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.01% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 15.33% or 400.0 points to trade at 3010.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 4.13% or 80.0 points to end at 2015.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 2.28% or 180.0 points to 8080.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA), which lost 1.27% or 100.0 points to trade at 7800.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.22% or 700.0 points to end at 56800.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) shed 1.01% or 240.0 points to 23520.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 13 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.07% or 0.08 to $115.25 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 1.38% or 40.00 to hit $2930.50 , while the April Gold contract rose 1.60% or 19.50 to trade at $1239.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.50% to 3291.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.56% to 823.43.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 98.19.
