Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 2.53% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which fell 0.70% or 5.7 points to trade at 809.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) fell 0.77% or 250 points to end at 32100 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was down 1.04% or 600 points to 57150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 4.86% or 3780 points to trade at 73920 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 4.77% or 198 points to end at 3952 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was down 4.53% or 3700 points to 78000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 236 to 100 and 115 ended unchanged.
Shares in Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.86% or 3780 to 73920. Shares in Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) fell to 3-years lows; down 4.53% or 3700 to 78000.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.84% or 1.41 to $35.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $38.32 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.19% or 2.00 to trade at $1074.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.10% to 3.8545, while EUR/ILS rose 0.32% to 4.2362.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 97.61.
