Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V), which rose 2.92% or 0.175 points to trade at 6.175 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) added 2.55% or 0.1140 points to end at 4.5920 and Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) was up 2.44% or 0.59 points to 24.77 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V), which fell 2.18% or 0.91 points to trade at 40.82 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V) declined 1.02% or 0.29 points to end at 28.02 and Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS) was down 0.73% or 0.19 points to 25.79.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 122 to 48 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 2.62% or 1.29 to $50.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.66% or 0.73 to hit $44.60 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.95% or 10.40 to trade at $1104.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.0990, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.7060.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 97.43.
