Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Consumer Industry and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index added 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Jakarta Setiabudi Internasional (JK:JSPT), which rose 24.67% or 185.000 points to trade at 935.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Enseval Putra Megatrading Tbk (JK:EPMT) added 24.09% or 495 points to end at 2550 and Mnc Sky Vision Tbk (JK:MSKY) was up 22.02% or 240 points to 1330 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nusantara Inti Corpora Tbk (JK:UNIT), which fell 9.96% or 27.00 points to trade at 244.00 at the close. Hero Supermarket Tbk (JK:HERO) declined 9.92% or 125 points to end at 1135 and Bank Yudha Bhakti Tbk (JK:BBYB) was down 9.77% or 13.00 points to 133.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 167 to 137 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in Jakarta Setiabudi Internasional (JK:JSPT) rose to all time highs; up 24.67% or 185.000 to 935.000. Shares in Hero Supermarket Tbk (JK:HERO) fell to 3-years lows; down 9.92% or 125 to 1135.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.42% or 0.61 to $42.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.57% or 0.72 to hit $45.40 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.05% or 0.50 to trade at $1073.30 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.35% to 13698.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.28% to 9975.80.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 99.94.
