Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Materials and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 3.40% or 0.46 points to trade at 13.97 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 2.22% or 1.15 points to end at 52.90 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 1.94% or 0.02 points to 1.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which lost 1.28% or 3.40 points to trade at 262.20 in late trade. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 1.09% or 2.4 points to end at 218.6 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) shed 0.81% or 1.50 points to 183.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 107 to 77 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.71% or 0.36 to $50.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.69% or 0.37 to hit $53.16 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.35 to trade at $1255.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.1587, while USD/NOK fell 0.07% to 8.5934.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.46.
