Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Holding Firms, Services and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which rose 8.27% or 0.340 points to trade at 4.450 at the close. Meanwhile, Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC) added 2.31% or 0.260 points to end at 11.520 and Ayala Land (PS:ALI) was up 1.59% or 0.500 points to 31.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intl Container (PS:ICT), which fell 5.09% or 3.050 points to trade at 56.850 at the close. Robinsons Land (PS:RLC) declined 3.01% or 0.750 points to end at 24.200 and Gt Capital Hol (PS:GTCAP) was down 3.00% or 39.000 points to 1260.000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 87 to 85 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was down 0.23% or 2.60 to $1125.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.90% or 0.60 to hit $31.02 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.65% or 0.56 to trade at $33.67 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.11% to 7.2626, while USD/PHP rose 0.16% to 47.800.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 99.02.
