Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.75% or 0.1540 points to trade at 4.2620 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 2.48% or 0.25 points to end at 10.34 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 1.79% or 0.10 points to 5.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which lost 6.04% or 2.60 points to trade at 40.47 in late trade. Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) declined 4.07% or 0.43 points to end at 10.13 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 3.53% or 1.46 points to 39.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 96 to 77 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.94% or 0.43 to $45.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.66% or 0.29 to hit $43.89 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1251.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1298, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.7885.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 94.53.
