Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Mining and S&P Lima Juniors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which rose 13.46% or 0.035 points to trade at 0.295 at the close. Meanwhile, Sider (LM:SID) added 5.56% or 0.005 points to end at 0.095 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 4.00% or 0.020 points to 0.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 17.65% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.070 at the close. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 5.84% or 0.090 points to end at 1.450 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was down 3.56% or 0.480 points to 13.000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Panoro (LM:PML) fell to all time lows; falling 17.65% or 0.015 to 0.070. Shares in Unacem (LM:CEL) fell to all time lows; down 5.84% or 0.090 to 1.450.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.29% or 0.43 to $33.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 3.09% or 1.07 to hit $35.88 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.00 to trade at $1117.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.26% to 3.4745, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7824.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.98% at 99.59.
