Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Agriculture, Trade and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Smartfren Telecom Tbk (JK:FREN), which rose 24.29% or 17 points to trade at 87 at the close. Cakra Mineral Tbk (JK:CKRA) added 20.78% or 16 points to end at 93 and Panca Global Securities Tbk (JK:PEGE) was up 20.00% or 40.00 points to 240.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Buana Listya Tama Tbk PT (JK:BULL), which lost 9.73% or 11 points to trade at 102 in late trade. Lotte Chemical Titan Tbk (JK:FPNI) declined 9.32% or 11 points to end at 107 and Bank Yudha Bhakti Tbk (JK:BBYB) shed 8.89% or 20.00 points to 205.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 194 to 107 and 93 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.65% or 0.63 to $38.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.25% or 0.50 to hit $40.35 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.13% or 1.60 to trade at $1239.10 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.11% to 13265.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.24% to 10168.50.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 94.98.
