Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 6.96% or 0.186 points to trade at 2.860 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 4.19% or 0.1180 points to end at 2.9340 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was up 3.28% or 0.64 points to 20.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 7.43% or 2.39 points to trade at 29.79 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) declined 0.81% or 0.27 points to end at 32.92 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 0.37% or 0.11 points to 29.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 127 to 41 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 2.66% or 0.94 to $36.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.97% or 0.65 to hit $33.72 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.53% or 19.00 to trade at $1219.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.83% to 1.0926, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.7877.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.73% at 98.15.
