Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Multi Investment, Retail and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030), which rose 4.30% or 1.10 points to trade at 26.70 at the close. AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) added 3.45% or 0.50 points to end at 15.00 and Gulf General Cooperative Insurance (SE:8260) was up 2.09% or 0.30 points to 14.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Ground Services Co (SE:4031), which lost 5.22% or 3.50 points to trade at 63.50 in late trade. Abdullah A. M. Al-Khodari Sons Co (SE:1330) declined 5.19% or 0.70 points to end at 12.80 and Aldrees Petroleum & Transport Svcs (SE:4200) shed 5.06% or 2.00 points to 37.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 131 to 23 and 15 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.77% or 0.41 to $53.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.15% or 0.63 to hit $55.55 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.95% or 10.80 to trade at $1131.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.39% to 3.8866, while USD/SAR fell 0.04% to 3.7496.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 103.52.
