Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Retail and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Euro Reliance (AT:EREr), which rose 2.90% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.130 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) added 1.82% or 0.020 points to end at 1.120 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was up 1.55% or 0.10 points to 6.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 9.82% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.147 in late trade. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 6.73% or 0.007 points to end at 0.097 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 5.20% or 0.0090 points to 0.1640.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 63 to 36 and 19 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for February delivery was down 0.96% or 11.60 to $1200.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.78% or 0.40 to hit $51.48 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.65% or 0.35 to trade at $54.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.0628, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.8626.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 101.41.
