Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.95%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which rose 1.09% or 1.9 points to trade at 176.2 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 0.40% or 0.12 points to end at 30.12 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 0.15% or 0.06 points to 39.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which lost 15.78% or 9.62 points to trade at 51.33 in late trade. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) declined 4.26% or 5.4 points to end at 121.3 and Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb) shed 2.58% or 10.6 points to 399.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 492 to 226 and 84 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.48% or 0.22 to $46.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.60% or 0.29 to hit $48.71 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 8.63 to trade at $1242.33 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.69% to 9.5817, while USD/SEK fell 0.18% to 8.2752.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.62% at 94.33.
