Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Property and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 6.70% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Philex Mining (PS:PX), which fell 2.35% or 0.120 points to trade at 4.970 at the close. Meanwhile, Jollibee Foods (PS:JFC) fell 4.25% or 7.900 points to end at 180.000 and Manila Electri (PS:MER) was down 4.26% or 12.000 points to 268.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which fell 11.00% or 0.790 points to trade at 6.500 at the close. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) declined 10.72% or 0.460 points to end at 3.800 and Energy Develop (PS:EDC) was down 10.60% or 0.670 points to 5.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 201 to 12 and 13 ended unchanged.

Shares in Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) fell to 52-week lows; falling 10.72% or 0.460 to 3.800. Shares in Energy Develop (PS:EDC) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.60% or 0.670 to 5.700.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.22% or 2.50 to $1157.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.18% or 1.28 to hit $39.16 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 3.04% or 1.38 to trade at $44.08 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.27% to 7.2953, while USD/PHP rose 0.51% to 46.720.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.74% at 94.14.
