Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Gamesa (MC:GAM), which rose 3.67% or 0.580 points to trade at 16.390 at the close. Meanwhile, Acerinox (MC:ACX) added 1.63% or 0.161 points to end at 10.045 and Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) was up 0.79% or 0.085 points to 10.790 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS), which fell 3.03% or 0.143 points to trade at 4.575 at the close. Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) declined 2.67% or 0.161 points to end at 5.877 and Bankia (MC:BKIA) was down 1.44% or 0.017 points to 1.161.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 112 to 110 and 4 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.34% or 14.30 to $1055.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.49% or 1.07 to hit $41.97 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.93% or 0.42 to trade at $45.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.0600, while EUR/GBP rose 0.33% to 0.7050.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 100.08.
