Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Forestry & Paper and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were CIH (CS:CIH), which rose 5.99% or 16.55 points to trade at 292.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) added 3.18% or 32 points to end at 1005 and Ennakl (CS:NAKL) was up 1.45% or 0.57 points to 39.77 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG), which fell 5.96% or 6.50 points to trade at 102.50 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) declined 5.77% or 5.89 points to end at 96.06 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was down 2.80% or 1 points to 43.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 15 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.83% or 0.73 to $40.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.65% or 1.12 to hit $43.62 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.32% or 3.40 to trade at $1057.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 1.03% to 10.7840, while USD/MAD fell 1.64% to 9.8895.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.82% at 98.22.
