Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 5.10% or 415 points to trade at 8560 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 5.10% or 425 points to end at 8760 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 3.37% or 8.2 points to 251.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DSV (CO:DSV), which lost 0.67% or 1.9 points to trade at 281.3 in late trade. TDC A/S (CO:TDC) declined 0.31% or 0.09 points to end at 29.10 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) gained 0.25% or 1.5 points to 596.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 41 and 22 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.81% or 0.60 to $33.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.47% or 0.87 to hit $36.16 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.40% or 17.30 to trade at $1221.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.84% to 6.8285, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4600.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.74% at 98.16.
