Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.47% or 0.1800 points to trade at 5.3650 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 2.62% or 0.135 points to end at 5.295 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was up 2.50% or 0.70 points to 28.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which lost 0.05% or 0.02 points to trade at 39.24 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 0.26% or 0.09 points to end at 34.80 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) gained 0.26% or 0.10 points to 39.07.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 128 to 51 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.24% or 0.12 to $49.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $47.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.15% or 2.05 to trade at $1326.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.45% to 1.1231, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.8540.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.53% at 95.18.
