Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.91% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 3.76% or 1.31 points to trade at 36.15 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.89% or 0.18 points to end at 6.40 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 2.72% or 0.094 points to 3.544 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which lost 0.99% or 0.085 points to trade at 8.510 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 0.30% or 0.015 points to end at 5.010 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 0.09% or 0.03 points to 34.41.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 113 to 61 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 1.61% or 0.80 to $50.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.89% or 0.92 to hit $49.54 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.35 to trade at $1246.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1356, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.7859.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 94.03.
