Jan 29 (Reuters) - BlackBerry BB.TO :
* Announces changes to common share purchase program
* Says to increase the maximum number of common shares that may be repurchased
* Says does not expect that the amended normal course issuer bid will have a
significant impact on blackberry's cash balance
* Entered into automatic purchase plan with designated broker to allow for
purchases of up to 2.7 million common shares in connection with ncib
* To amend its current ncib in order to increase the maximum number of common
shares that may be repurchased to 27 million shares
* Says no other terms of the ncib have been amended
