Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 1.75% or 200.0 points to trade at 11600.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.45% or 120.0 points to end at 8420.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.33% or 260.0 points to 19760.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 1.26% or 35.0 points to trade at 2745.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 0.36% or 5.0 points to end at 1390.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 10840.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 3 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 2.73% or 4.10 to $146.02 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.54% or 32.50 to hit $2076.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 8.75 to trade at $1217.05 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.80% to 2879.48, while BRL/COP fell 0.62% to 921.77.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 99.82.
