Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Technology and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Zorlu Enerji (IS:ZOREN), which rose 7.83% or 0.130 points to trade at 1.790 at the close. Meanwhile, Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) added 6.68% or 0.500 points to end at 7.990 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was up 5.80% or 0.040 points to 0.730 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 3.85% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.260 at the close. Tekstilbank (IS:TEKST) declined 1.60% or 0.040 points to end at 2.460 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was down 1.60% or 0.25 points to 15.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 298 to 102 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.10% or 1.10 to $1113.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.94% or 1.41 to hit $46.49 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 3.33% or 1.69 to trade at $48.85 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.26% to 2.8647, while EUR/TRY rose 0.28% to 3.1115.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.82% at 98.04.
