Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Financial Services and Consumer Goods & Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.90%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which rose 12.40% or 1.910 points to trade at 17.350 at the close. Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) added 4.73% or 1.980 points to end at 43.810 and Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICHB) was up 2.97% or 2.080 points to 72.140 in late trade.
Biggest losers included America Movil L , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AMXL), which lost 11.22% or 1.530 points to trade at 12.110 in late trade. Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) declined 2.77% or 0.970 points to end at 33.860 and Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) shed 1.73% or 0.560 points to 31.630.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 76 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 1.49% or 18.60 to $1269.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.17% or 0.53 to hit $45.86 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.19% or 0.56 to trade at $47.49 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.28% to 17.2643, while EUR/MXN fell 0.06% to 19.5949.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.67% at 93.75.
