Sweden stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 3.38%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 3.38%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 7.58% or 3.71 points to trade at 52.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 5.60% or 5.70 points to end at 107.40 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 5.15% or 11.6 points to 236.9 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb), which rose 0.32% or 0.6 points to trade at 187.7 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 1.16% or 2.4 points to end at 209.1 and Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) was up 1.68% or 5.5 points to 332.0.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 392 to 57 and 3 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.37% or 1.29 to $39.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.75% or 0.74 to hit $43.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.52% or 17.50 to trade at $1136.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.52% to 9.6348, while USD/SEK rose 2.43% to 8.4460.

The US Dollar Index was up 1.37% at 94.66.
