Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Energy, Transport and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which rose 11.61% or 6.5 points to trade at 62.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) added 11.59% or 2.70 points to end at 26.00 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) was up 10.31% or 4.60 points to 49.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Storebrand ASA (OSLO:STB), which fell 2.51% or 0.74 points to trade at 28.87 at the close. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) declined 1.21% or 9.0 points to end at 735.5 and Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) was down 0.77% or 0.40 points to 51.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 110 to 73 and 1 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 5.66% or 2.41 to $44.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 5.10% or 2.42 to hit $49.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.77% or 8.70 to trade at $1131.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.91% to 9.2471, while USD/NOK fell 0.24% to 8.2774.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.53% at 96.25.
