Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.00% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT), which rose 4.51% or 209 points to trade at 4840 at the close. Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) added 2.71% or 1160 points to end at 44010 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TA:DSCT) was up 2.37% or 21.2 points to 915.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL), which lost 3.46% or 5.7 points to trade at 159.0 in late trade. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) declined 0.86% or 520 points to end at 59880 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) shed 0.74% or 160 points to 21440.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 243 to 155 and 102 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.27% or 0.12 to $45.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.40% or 0.19 to hit $47.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 6.32 to trade at $1250.18 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.09% to 3.5272, while EUR/ILS fell 0.06% to 3.9390.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 97.08.
