Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which rose 1.11% or 2.6 points to trade at 236.8 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 0.50% or 1.4 points to end at 283.1 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 0.09% or 0.2 points to 232.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 3.42% or 1.27 points to trade at 35.91 in late trade. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 2.42% or 4.70 points to end at 189.90 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) shed 2.40% or 1.35 points to 54.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 401 to 217 and 49 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.81% or 0.43 to $52.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.45% or 0.25 to hit $55.45 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 6.35 to trade at $1197.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.32% to 9.4411, while USD/SEK fell 0.17% to 8.8374.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 100.50.
