Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 15.54% or 0.039 points to trade at 0.290 at the close. Meanwhile, Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) added 5.00% or 0.250 points to end at 5.250 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 3.12% or 0.040 points to 1.320 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 7.08% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.105 at the close. Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) declined 0.77% or 0.20 points to end at 25.80 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was down 0.39% or 0.100 points to 25.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 3 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.40% or 0.17 to $41.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.40% or 0.18 to hit $44.43 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.29% or 3.10 to trade at $1068.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.01% to 3.3710, while EUR/PEN rose 0.30% to 3.5721.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.39% at 99.88.
