Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 4.08% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Osem (TA:OSEM), which fell 1.77% or 135 points to trade at 7511 at the close. Meanwhile, Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) fell 2.00% or 1210 points to end at 59340 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was down 2.05% or 290 points to 13830 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which fell 5.88% or 6800 points to trade at 108900 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 5.21% or 129 points to end at 2348 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was down 5.05% or 79 points to 1484.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 338 to 24 and 87 ended unchanged.
Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.21% or 129 to 2348.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.63% or 1.08 to $40.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.81% or 1.31 to hit $45.31 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.63% or 7.30 to trade at $1160.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.16% to 3.8763, while EUR/ILS rose 1.45% to 4.4126.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.97% at 94.84.
