Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which rose 5.00% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.10 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) added 4.22% or 0.015 points to end at 0.370 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was up 4.17% or 0.100 points to 2.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Volcan Compania Minera SAA (LM:VOLa), which lost 10.87% or 0.250 points to trade at 2.050 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 2.72% or 0.340 points to end at 12.160 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) shed 1.84% or 0.040 points to 2.130.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 6 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.58% or 0.27 to $46.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $48.96 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 5.55 to trade at $1221.55 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2895, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.5804.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 99.45.
