Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 2.33% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to trade at 22.2 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) fell 0.68% or 80.0 points to end at 11700.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was down 0.93% or 100.0 points to 10700.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which lost 14.98% or 4920.0 points to trade at 27920.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 6.89% or 4180.0 points to end at 56500.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) shed 4.60% or 55.0 points to 1140.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 0 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.63% or 0.92 to $145.93 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 1.01% or 19.50 to hit $1905.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.05 to trade at $1230.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.17% to 2871.03, while BRL/COP rose 0.63% to 930.55.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 101.24.
