Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Petrochemicals, Insurance and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Arabia Fertilizers Co. (SE:2020), which rose 4.84% or 3.00 points to trade at 65.00 at the close. Yanbu National Petrochemical Co (SE:2290) added 2.99% or 1.30 points to end at 44.80 and Jarir Marketing Co (SE:4190) was up 2.64% or 2.75 points to 106.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Steel Pipe Company (SE:1320), which lost 4.63% or 0.90 points to trade at 18.55 in late trade. Arabian Pipes Company (SE:2200) declined 4.28% or 0.70 points to end at 15.65 and Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company (SE:8012) shed 4.00% or 1.10 points to 26.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 85 to 54 and 30 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.94% or 0.44 to $47.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $49.94 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.45% or 6.05 to trade at $1354.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.14% to 4.2408, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 94.50.
