CAIRO, Oct 29 (Reuters) - The lowest offer at an Egyptian state purchase tender for wheat on Tuesday was $214.86 a tonne for 60,000 tonnes of French wheat, presented by Glencore (LON:GLEN), traders said.
Egypt's state grains buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC,) said on Monday that it was seeking an unspecified quantity of wheat for shipment Dec. 5-15.
At its last purchase tender on Oct. 16, GASC bought 405,000 tonnes of wheat of Russian, French and Ukrainian origin.
Traders gave the following breakdown of the offers presented at the tender in dollars per tonne on a free-on-board (FOB) basis:
* Glencore: 60,000 tonnes of French wheat at $214.86
* Olam: 55,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat at $217.50
* Louis Dreyfus: 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat at $219.77
* Cargill: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $221.00
* ADM: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $221.25
* Glencore: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $223.86
* Solaris: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $225.00
* Gemcorp: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $226.26
* Grain Export: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $226.57
* Posco International: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $232.00
Traders also said the following were the best offers presented including cost and freight (C&F):
* Glencore: 60,000 tonnes of French wheat at $214.86 and $21.90 freight equating to $236.76
* Olam: 55,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat at $217.50 and $17.10 freight equating to $234.60
* Cargill: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $221.00 and $14.65 freight equating to $235.65
* Louis Dreyfus: 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat at $219.77 and $16.66 freight equating to $236.43
* ADM: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $221.25 and $16.52 freight equating to $237.77
* Glencore: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $223.86 and $15.74 freight equating to $239.60
