Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Energy, Banking and Diversified Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 4.51%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which rose 21.03% or 5.3 points to trade at 30.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 9.92% or 2.31 points to end at 25.60 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 9.05% or 2.20 points to 26.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 0.19% or 0.5 points to trade at 262.5 at the close. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) added 1.33% or 10.0 points to end at 764.0 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 1.58% or 4.1 points to 263.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 162 to 22 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 7.08% or 2.09 to $31.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 7.54% or 2.21 to hit $31.45 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1098.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.91% to 9.4752, while USD/NOK fell 0.39% to 8.7612.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 99.43.
