Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Real Estate and Forestry & Paper sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 1.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS), which rose 6.08% or 268 points to trade at 4678 at the close. Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) added 5.98% or 122 points to end at 2162 and Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) was up 5.93% or 8.90 points to 158.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM), which lost 6.55% or 87 points to trade at 1242 in late trade. M2M Group (CS:M2M) declined 6.50% or 22.70 points to end at 326.30 and Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) shed 5.96% or 11.50 points to 181.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 35 to 16 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.26% or 0.14 to $53.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.51% or 0.28 to hit $55.20 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.88% or 10.05 to trade at $1132.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.28% to 10.5840, while USD/MAD fell 0.22% to 10.1830.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 103.24.
