Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.29% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 1.93% or 0.12 points to trade at 6.59 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 1.28% or 0.43 points to end at 34.14 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 1.28% or 0.065 points to 5.140 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 0.96% or 0.0950 points to trade at 9.8200 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 0.83% or 0.090 points to end at 10.690 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 0.45% or 0.050 points to 11.130.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 68 to 67 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $51.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.49% or 0.24 to hit $49.07 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 3.95 to trade at $1234.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.0745, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8699.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 100.13.
